Provenance

In pre-Hispanic times, the Nahua here produced the agave wine known as pulque and composed the sacred flower songs that inspire our balanced, ritual-driven approach to tequila-making.
Laelia is made in Amatitán, located in the heart of “El Valle”—the Valley region of Jalisco.
Laelia Tequila, made from sustainably grown agave and inspired by Mexican traditions and the Nahua culture.
Laelia cultivates our own agave on this ancient, volcanic soil. And the mountain spring water we use during fermentation runs through mantles and stone of the region, adding minerality and offering the foundational components that inform the taste of our tequila.
Laelia represents the inaugural spirit of Casa Natima. Tequilera de Origen. It reflects the true essence and artistry of our unique contemporary Mexican distillery in Amatitán, under our own
NOM 1607.

Our founder

We come from a fourth-generation family of agave growers. Our founder, Fernando Pérez Ontiveros, turned that heritage and passion into Laelia — our family’s first opportunity to craft our own tequila, born to honor our roots and give life to the land that has seen us grow

Master Distiller

Our Master Distiller, Carlos R. Huízar, with years of dedication to the art of making tequila, brought Laelia to life with patience, knowledge, and respect for tradition — a creation born from agave, water, wisdom, and time..
